Will adding links to other sites lower SEO of my site?

In fact, linking out to high-quality and relevant sites helps as far as SEO goes. It sends Google a signal that your article is researched, in-depth, and valuable. Just ensure the links open in a new tab so people don’t actually leave your site altogether.

Is it better to rewrite an old post or write a new one?

In reality, replacing the old one is way better. It has already acquired some authority and age. Just update the content, add some new images and make sure you update the year in the title. Google curves fresh content on old URLs

Do small blogs really need to worry about page speed?

Honestly, fix it now. Google adores fast sites, and human beings even more so. If a page is going to load for more than 3 seconds, people will simply drop off before reading your first sentence. Small sites can be optimized much more easily implementing best practices now than big ones later!

How many “internal links” are too many?

There isn’t a magic number, but I generally prefer to keep my links in the range of 3-5 per 1,000 words. The one rule I always follow is, "Does this link really help the reader?" Does the filename of an image actually affect SEO rankings?

Yes, it does. Google relies on the filenames to know the context of your images. With that, my fast rules for image naming:
    Use keywords (but don’t spam).
Instead of spaces or underscores, use hyphens (-).
    Keep it short and descriptive.
It’s a small thing, but it can definitely help you rank better in Google Image search!
